Datekeeper and The Salvation Army of Livingston County are proud to announce the success of Get Social, Feed Kids, a social media campaign geared toward raising funds for The Salvation Army's Summer Lunch Bunch Program. The campaign, which ended Monday, June 11, raised a total of $249, and is thankful to everyone who participated and helped make a difference in the lives of children through out the community.
The Summer Lunch Bunch Program, offered by The Salvation Army in coordination with many other area agencies, has the potential to affect 25.27% of Livingston County public school students who qualify for free or reduced lunch. These lunch programs, available through out the school year, are not provided during the summer time making the program crucial to families in need.
The Salvation Army and DateKeeper would like thank everyone again who participated in this wonderful campaign! Programs like Summer Lunch Bunch are essential to our community and help tremendously in the fight against childhood hunger.
